Two local cadets from 2425 (Nottingham Airport) Squadron, Cadet Cpl Michael Cox and Instructor Cadet Sgt Christopher Romanowski, were recently presented with a BTEC in Aviation Studies by their commanding officer Flt Lt Frost RAF VR(T) who said “The BTEC is the end product of several years of study in aviation for Michael and Christopher and is a nationally recognised qualification that I am sure will aid them in their future career choices”.

The Air Training Corps offers every cadet the opportunity to study towards the BTEC in Aviation Studies and also offers the possibility to study for other BTEC awards in Music and Public Services. These are worth 2, 4 and 4 GCSEs respectively, giving those that attain the awards a possible advantage in today’s job market.
