Presentation of Queens Scouts Award

Cadet Warrant Officer Damien Simpson attended the Winding Wheel in Chesterfield, along with Lord Lieutenant Tucker for the Derbyshire Scouts presentation of the Queens award.

This award was to congratulate these Scouts for the many months of work they had put towards this award. This is award is presented for completing activities such as doing a skill, physical, residential, service and expedition; much like the Duke of Edinburgh Award we do in our organisation.

These awards were presented by the Lord Lieutenant himself. The award evening also showed all of the Scouts parents what their children had been doing of the last year as well as showing them what the volunteer Scout Leaders have been doing.
Cadet Warrant Officer Simpson “It was a great evening to see what some of the other younger people in the community are doing.”
