5 cadets completed the Level 1 RYA Youth Sailing Award after 4 weeks of intensive but exciting training at Cransley Sailing Club.
Everyone got wet at some time during the training as they practised capsize drills and got to grips with sheets, cleats, tacking and other nautical terms.
They all voted it a great course and look forward to being able to do Level 2 later this year.
Cadet Danny Tomlinson (aged 15 from Market Harborough) said, “I have done aerobatics in the Tutor aircraft, completed my Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award and now I have done sailing – not many cadets get chance to take part in land, sea and air activities’
