At the start of December Coalville Air Cadets and staff took part in the Santa fun run in Loughborough.

The Rotary Club of Loughborough organise a Santa Fun Run every year to raise money for various charities. This year 1100 Santas took part completing the 6km run. On successful completion of the race everyone was awarded a medal.

The cadets are now busy collecting in their sponsor money so they can claim their t-shirts. The final total of money raised is yet to be announced.

Flying Officer Rod Dring, the officer in charge of 1188 Sqn said “ it is an amusing sight to see so many people dressed as Santa running around Loughborough. I am pleased the cadets were able to take part again this year”.
