Corby Poppy Collection

The Corby Air Cadets have always been committed when it comes to collecting money and the 3rd and 10th November was no different. They spent the two Saturdays trying to get a Poppy on every single jacket in Corby town centre.

They stood in the cold for 5 hours trying to collect as much money as possible for the Royal British Legion, and still kept smiling at everyone they saw. The Army Cadets were also collecting on the day which meant a bit of friendly rivalry and many members of the public commented on how well dressed the Air Cadets were and also commented on how well they spoke to the public. Many of the cadets spoke to the public and told them about the ATC and how much they enjoyed it. The Royal British Legion told the staff how thankful they were for the help and in total managed to raise £653.25p
