Long Eaton Air Cadets get Council Grant

Long Eaton Air Cadets have been awarded a grant of £250 from Derbyshire County Council’s Community Leadership Scheme.

County Councillor Roland Hosker has made the award to 2195 (Long Eaton) Squadron of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets from the Scheme in recognition of the continuing Community work carried out by the Squadron and the training of Derbyshire youngsters in good citizenship.

Each County Councillor has a sum allocated by the Scheme to offer as grants to those they consider offer benefit to the local communities.

Flight Lieutenant Jack Stepanian, Officer Commanding the Squadron was “surprised and delighted to receive the recognition of Councillor Roland Hosker and the grant that will benefit the Squadron’s cadets. It is pleasing to know that the cadets and staff are appreciated for their hard work in and around Long Eaton”.
