Cpl Perry Gets Gold

In the space of a month Corporal (CPL) Megan Perry from 2418 Sherwood Squadron represented her squadron, the Wing (South & East Midlands) and the Region (Central & East) for the Air Training Corp at their annual swimming competitions.

To qualify and go on to the next level you must come 1st, 2nd and 3rd at each swimming competition.

After three months of intensive training it was the Regional Competition, Cpl Perry arrived at R.A.F Cranwell at 08:45 in time to receive a briefing from the sports officer, detailing the day’s events, which started with a warm up, followed by the start of the races.

Subsequent to competing in the 100m Front Crawl, Individual Medley (I.M) Relay and the Freestyle relay. CPL Perry was ecstatic and exhausted to find out that she won two golds and one silver.
CPL Perry is now starting to train for next year’s competition.
