Creating the new leaders at 2195

RAF Wittering once again hosted the Senior Non-commissioned Officers course for 22 new or already budding Senior NCOs: one of which was from Long Eaton Air Cadets.

Last weekend, Cadet Sergeant James Bland attended South and East Midlands Wing Senior NCO course to learn the qualities and role of a Senior NCO within the Corps, the Wing and at their squadron.

The course is set up to challenge the NCOs to show what they are capable of by putting them through rigorous tests in Drill, Leadership, Communication skills and bearing.

Sergeant James Bland said, “This course has taught many new things and roles that I did not know about as a Senior NCO myself. The course was a great experience and seeing many friends that I knew from my Initial NCO course and from camps and other courses made the course more fun and made it seem like any other day in the Air Training Corps.”

What were you doing this weekend? What could you be doing?
