A new Instructor Cadet has been presented at the Long Eaton Air Cadets. Cadet Flight Sergeant Charlie Wilson, who attended the Method of Instructors Course back in July, and passed his assessment last month, was awarded his yellow lanyard last night.
Now he has been awarded his lanyard and certificate it enables him to teach a range of topics on the Squadron, which will be particularly helpful in his new role as Recruit Flight IC. Flight Sergeant Wilson said “I’m proud to reach the top of the classifications, I look forward to be able to teach the cadets their classification subjects and help them work to the top.”
Instructor Cadet is the top classification in the Air Cadets and is reached after completing four previous classifications. These classifications are completed on the Squadron and cover a range of topics from Basic Navigation to Jet Engine Propulsion.
He is now one of five cadets on the Squadron to hold this classification, and we wish him a very well done.
