On the 4th of June 2016 the cadets of 2195 (Long Eaton) squadron ATC gathered at Trent college school for the celebrations of her majesty Queen Elizabeth 90th birthday.

An afternoon of activities, and events during the day took place- including cake selling and croquet, with important guests arriving including the mayor of Erewash.

The guests were entertained by singers and the Derbyshire army cadet band, and were treated to a meal.

Cadet Corporal Lucy Scott said “ It was fun to teach people how to play croquet even if it was primarily described as lawn snooker, the entertainment was great and it was wonderful to be working in such sunny weather especially as ice cream was served.”

Cadet Joan Fowodu added “ It was great to meet the mayor of Erewash and his wife, he was a very nice and humble man to talk to – a very successful day.”
