2502 (Hamilton) Squadron has just taken delivery of two new MTa Insights Leadership Training Kits. The squadron has managed to rise over £2300 for the training equipment with the majority from a grant for £1970 from Mars.
The squadron will now be able to use the specialised equipment to develop the cadets leadership skills. The kit allows us to work on many aspects of leadership including, problem solving, communication, team work and confidence. With 53 different activities, we can tailor the cadet training, and work on aspects they are looking to improve on. We can also interchange the kit and modify the exercises, so that the training can progress and offer different challenges based on what the instructors can come up with.
The equipment will help in training our Leadership team for the South and East Midlands Wing Field day where we hope the squadron will excel.
OC 2502 Sqn, Flt Lt Andy Faulkner said: “After using the wings equipment for an NCO training weekend at the Defence Animal Centre in August last year. I was very impressed with the kit and how well the cadets took to it and also engaged in the activities.”
