Leicester Air Cadets Get A Head Start in Heart Start

Air cadets from 1F (City of Leicester) squadron have been learning what steps to take in a medical emergency. Twelve Cadets have recently undertaken the British Heart Foundation’s ‘Heartstart’ training programme which was delivered at the squadron by Civilian Instructor Carol Robinson and have learnt what to do in a life threatening emergency.

Their training included learning how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, dealing with choking, heart attacks and more. On completion of the training the cadets were presented with a certificate to show they had received the training.
Resuscitation and are now prepared to come to the aid of someone suffering from cardiac arrest. This is the first course in a programme of first aid training
