Leicestershire Royal Air Force Aircadets Remember the few

Leicestershire Sqns Remember the sacrifice of the few who were killed or injured in the Battle Of Britain.

The Cadets and staff joined Members of the Royal Airforces Association (RAFA) in the parade assembling at Victoria Park car Park followed by a wreath laying cermony followed by a march to St James the greater Church London Road Leicester for the Church service.

HM Lord Lieutenant of Leicestershire Jennifer, Lady Gretton attended with The Lord mayor of the City of Leicester and the chairman of the County Council, Also in attendance was the High Sheriff of Leicestershire and the Deputy Chief Constable of Leicestershire.

After the Church service the cadets and staff and members of the RAFA marched passed HM Lord Lieutenant of Leicestershire Jennifer, Lady Gretton who took the salute.

The RAFA thanked the cadets who attended and asked them to keep the History of the Battle of Britain alive.

Squadrons attanded were 1(F) City Of Leicester, 1181 Syston,1188 Coalville,1461 Wigston, 1947 Birstall, 2070 Glenfield and 2229 Loughborough Sqn Ldr A D Utting was the ATC Parade Commander
