Level 2 RIPH Food Safety Course

The Wing has secured attendance on the above course via an external provider. The purpose of this article is to offer early notification of the course information as detailed below;

Date: Sat 13 Sep 08
Time: 0900 – 1700hrs
Venue: TBC (however will be Leicester based i.e. central to the Wing)
Places: Max 20
Qualification: Royal Institute of Public Health Level 2 Food Safety Certificate which lasts a lifetime. (Level 2 award is appropriate for anyone who needs a basic understanding of food safety in a catering environment. The course focuses on the importance of hygiene, the food handler’s legal responsibilities and their role in monitoring food safety procedures, and how to store, prepare, cook, hold and serve food safely).
Attendees: The course will be open to all Sqn Adult Instructors, Civ Comm Members & Instructor Cadets.
Cost: The Wing has secured a substantial discounted rate, in addition by kind permission of OCW, the Wing will further subsidise the cost so that the course fee will be £25 per person (payable prior to the course).
ATC Pay & Travel: Will be admissible, subject to usual conditions.

NO ACTION is required now, however a calling letter for nominations & details of payment etc. will be sent to all Squadrons mid-July.
