2195 Long Eaton Air Cadets attended the Long Eaton’s Remembrance Day Parade which included veterans from the Royal British Legion, Erewash Branch of the R.A.F.A, Sea Cadets and Army Cadets from the town.
The Parade, which was led by the Long Eaton Silver Prize Band, marched through the town to the Market Place and assembled at the War Memorial for a service which was given by the Reverend Simon Ellis who is also the 2195 Squadron Chaplain.
The Mayor of Erewash, Councillor Barbara Harrison led the wreath laying and two minutes silence. The Mayor also commented that it was one of the biggest turnouts in the local area for many years.

OiC 2195 Squadron Plt Off Jack Stepanian said “I was extremely pleased with the turnout especially with it being such a cold and wet November morning, the Squadron still had over 35 Staff and Cadets in attendance, I would also like to thank Flt Lt Roy Smith, a former OC from 2195 Squadron, now 71, who marched in uniform with the Squadron”
Roy added “it was great to get involved with the Squadron again.”
Plt Off Stepanian invited Roy to one of the Squadron’s future presentation nights to present some awards to the Cadets and see the Squadron once again.
