Long Eaton Cadets Runners up for the Tom Perry Trophy

Air Cadets from three Squadrons in South & East Midlands Wing recently competed in the Stanton Rifle Club Shooting Competition, organised by the Royal Air Force Association.

Cadets from 2195 (Long Eaton), 1360 (Stapleford & Sandiacre) and 126 (City of Derby) Squadrons attended this year’s competition held at Stanton Range, Ilkeston on Wednesday 1st October.

Cadets from 126 (City of Derby) Squadron won the event and were presented with the Tom Perry Trophy. 2195 (Long Eaton) Squadron earned second place.

Ray Noble, Chairman of the Erewash Branch of RAFA presented the Trophies. Dennis Trueman, President of Stanton Range who has run and organised the event for many years said “I was very pleased with the turn out and hope that more Squadrons will get involved in the competition in the future, the more the merrier”.
