Long Range Shooting Competition

Cadets from 126 Derby and 1211 Swadlincote Sqns took part in Service rifle Competition at Beckingham ranges in Lincolnshire on Sunday 23rd September

The cadet teams were shooting against cadets from Trent Wing, Bedfordshire & Cambridgeshire Wing ATC, and also cadets from the Sea cadet Corps The cadets each Zeroed there own rifle before shooting them at 200 mtrs & 300 Mtrs

The cadets were shooting Matches that they will shoot at Bisley in October against all the other cadet forces and this Competition allowed our two teams to qualify to the next stages

This is the 5th long range shooting training day the wing has done this year

Well done to the Staff members who have been working hard coaching there cadet teams and to the cadets in the shooting team who have been practicing hard

Flt Sgt(ATC) Ben Hurst from 126 Derby Sqn and Deputy Wing Shooting Officer S&E Midlands Wing ATC had been planning the ranges for many weeks and was the Range conducting officer over the weekend.
