Staff at Kettering Royal Air Force Air Cadets are on the hunt for enthusiastic and committed adults who would be interested in leading and supporting young people as they grow and develop as cadets.
The Northampton Road squadron is calling on the people of Kettering to come forward, volunteer some spare time and train as Members of staff
Once fully trained staff members will get the opportunity to guide cadets, support learning and attend and lead UK and overseas summer camps and excursions.
Squadron Commanding Officer, Flight Lieutenant Guy Slack, said: “The work we do with young people is incredibly valuable. We are able to educate, support and develop cadets and this work is entirely down to the hard work and dedication of our adult volunteers.
“We are currently trying to recruit u members of staff to lead and shape the way young people learn at the squadron. Anyone who has a bit of spare time each week and an interest in educating young people should get in touch to find out more.”
No particular experience is required and all necessary training will be provided. So if you can give up one or two evenings each week why not get involved and do something truly valuable with your spare time.
Staff are also on the hunt for adults in Corby who would like to give volunteering a go. To find out more about positions in Kettering or Corby please visit: www.ketteringaircadets.org or telephone 01536 481 999.
