Mayor’s Supporting Hand: Long Eaton Air Cadets says a massive thank you to the former Mayor of ErewashArticle posted: Oct 29, 2015 by Flt Lt Rayson-Flynn
Last week saw Flying Officer Buckingham and Cadet Flight Sergeant Nathan Moffatt take a visit to the Erewash Town Hall for a special presentation to the squadron.
Kewal Athewal, the previous Mayor of Erewash, picked Long Eaton Air Cadets as one of a select few of organizations to receive a donation.
They were presented with a cheque for the squadron addressed to the “Mayors Chosen Charities”, which Long Eaton Air Cadets is very grateful for. This was one of many donations, totalling £5000 overall.
This money will go towards the squadron to benefit the cadets by funding new equipment and giving them many opportunities to get stuck into that weren’t necessarily available prior to the kind donation.
Long Eaton Air Cadets would like to send a massive thank you to Kewal Athewal for choosing the squadron to receive a share of the money.
