Media & Communications Course

Seven members of South & East Midlands Wing joined thirteen other members of staff and cadets from Central & East Region at RAF Brampton for the second two day Media & Communications Course.

Using the excellent facilities at the Region’s home station, the twenty candidates for the course spent the weekend learning about writing press releases, photography, websites and the legal side of being a squadron Media and Communications Officer (MCO).

There was also the opportunity to put the theory into practice with three practical exercises including a nerve racking on-camera interview.

The course was considered a success by the candidates.

Should anyone be interested, the next course will be held at RAF Cosford over the weekend of 19th – 20th April 2008. It is hoped that another course will be held at RAF Marham late in the summer.
