Mission Complete at 504 Squadron for RTF 2

Thursday 18th September 2014 saw 504 (West Nottingham) Squadron hold a Graduation Parade to officially enrol the 8 new Cadets who have progressed through Recruit Training Flight (RTF) 2 over the last three months. The Parade was attended by parents, family and friends of those Cadets officially joining the Air Training Corps at the event.

The new Cadets successfully completed and passed their 12-week training programme which included History of the Air Training Corps and the Royal Air Force, Basic Radio Communications, Leadership, sport and much more. Now graduated as First Class Cadets, the new additions can now take part in all aspects of Air Cadet life.

The Graduation Parade was conducted by OC 504 Squadron, Flt Lt Jodi Hudson, with OC South & East Midlands Wing, Wg Cdr Nigel Dickinson OBE as Reviewing Officer. The Squadron’s Wing Staff Officer, Sqn Ldr Julie Rayson-Flynn was also in attendance.

After the graduation, Flt Lt Hudson went on to make three promotions within the Squadron NCO team, as Nicole Parris and Jonathan Bartle were promoted to the rank of Sergeant, also, Matthew Yorke was promoted to the rank of Flight Sergeant.
