Recently four Cadets from 504 (West Nottingham) Squadron completed their bronze Duke of Edinburgh expedition.

After many months of hard work they managed to put all their skills to the test and set of on their journey. After two days and a few blisters all four cadets successfully finished their ordeal. Cadet Smith R (F) Wrote:

“Throughout these 2 days of the expedition for my Duke of Edinburghs award I have learnt how to become an independent leader and navigator. I feel that my skills have improved dramatically since the start of my training. The enjoyment that I encountered was mainly from the people I was with, who supported me throughout the expedition.
It may have been tough but then again the feeling that you have achieved something will overcome that. Even though I have not finished my entire Duke of Edinburghs award, it still feels refreshing to come back from the expedition.
I am definitely looking forward to completing the rest of my bronze Duke of Edinburghs award as it will be a challenge but I am sure I will enjoy it as much if not more than the expedition.”

504 Sqn would like to congratulate the following on their completion:-
Cadet Smith H (f)
Cadet Smith R (f)
Cadet Quail
