She had never been a cadet or involved with the RAF before and found the new challenge she was looking for in the ATC. Niki said ‘The last six months have been just the challenge I was looking for. I was a little overwhelmed by all the different structures and ranks to start off with but the Civilian Instructors course was a great help and put it all into perspective.’ Niki has taken on the role of getting the squadrons Duke of Edinburgh’s Award groups back on track, she has also been accepted onto the Wing BEL course and will start her training in February.
