New Commanding Officer for 209 Squadron

209 (West Bridgford) Squadron has a new Commanding Officer. Flying Officer Steve Richards RAF VR (T) first became involved with the Air Training Corps when he became an Air Cadet at the age of 13. In 1999 he became a Commissioned Officer and went on to command 2425 (Tollerton) Sqn for 6 years. While running his own business he stepped back from command and assisted at 1360 (Stapleford) Sqn.

He has now returned to command and is looking forward to new challenges at 209 Sqn. Fg Off Richards said “I am pleased to be taking charge of such a well known and enthusiastic Squadron, and hope to build on the units achievements in the future.”
