A former Cadet of 1461 (Wigston) Squadron and the Officer Commanding of 1181 (Goscote) Squadron Neil Bayliss has been appointed the Deputy Wing Chaplain in the Warwickshire & Birmingham Wing.

Father Neil Bayliss started his VRT career in the Leicestershire area and was commissioned at the young age of 20.

With family life and a degree from Leicester polytechnic he then moved to Birmingham.

Father is happily married to Kathryn and has 4 children. Neil’s links to the Air training Corps are still strong as ever as he is heavily involved at 489 (Acocks Green & Olton) Squadron where he is the padre and Instructor.

Officer Commanding Jo Coles, 489 (Acocks Green & Olton) Sqn said ‘I’m extremely pleased and proud to have the padre on my team; in which he brings a wealth of experience to the Squadron’.
