Air Cadets Recruiting Success

Four more youngsters have joined the ranks of Long Eaton’s Air Cadet Squadron now firmly based in their new building off Station Road, Long Eaton.

To get that far, the cadets have undergone training in such diverse subjects as the history of the Royal Air Force and First Aid, Foot Drill and Leadership, looking after uniforms and Fieldcraft. They are now able to join the rest of the squadron on the numerous cadet activities including flying, gliding, target shooting and gaining the many qualification open to cadets.

2195 (Long Eaton) Squadron, Royal Air Force Air Cadets, moved into the new Joint Cadet Centre at the end of last year and are eager to offer more youngsters the chance to taste the adventure offered by the Air Cadet Organisation.

Anyone between the ages of 13 and 17 who fancy a taste of adventure and flying as well, please contact the Squadron through the Air Cadet website: or join us at the Joint Cadet Centre off Station Road (behind the Indoor Bowls Club) on a Tuesday or Thursday evening between 7 pm and 9 pm.
