Cadet Alister BELL from 1936 (NEWTON) Squadron, recently became the first member of the unit to apply for the one of Royal Air Force Work Experience courses.

Cdt BELL, aged 17, applied for the SNCO Aircrew course held at RAF College Cranwell and DCAE Cosford. He stayed at each location for 2 and a half days. Alister spent the week learning about the trade and getting an in depth and unique view of service life, as well of meeting new people from around the Corps.

Alister said “It was a great experience. I recommend it to anyone”. During the week Alistair took part in an air experience flight in a Dominie aircraft and saw demonstrations by radar operators in training.

So keen is Alistair to take part in the extensive work experience course that the Corps has to offer, he will be attending the week long course with the Royal Air Force Regiment at RAF Honnington in October, along with another squadron cadet.
