29th October 2012 – Though sad at Joe Clark’s departure, life goes on, and Cadets and Staff were rewarded for their previous hard work tonight by Wing Commander Nigel Dickinson RAFVR (T), who was pressed into service since he was visiting the squadron for that other important event.
It adds to the band of squadron marksmen and women cadets that Newton has managed to train up.
It also gives a further three cadets the valuable BTEC qualification which is sure to aid them in whatever future endeavours they decide, whether that be employment, or education.
And, by no means last, our very own Flight Sergeant (ATC) Dan Haywood now has his Level 2 Award for Food Safety in Catering, one of those many awards that are necessary for staff to gain for a squadron to work. (How would we manage without Field Craft Cooking?)
