Following the Queen’s Official Birthday Service at Southwell Minster on Sunday 16th June, 1936 Newton Squadron Cadets were asked to marshall the many cars into parking places, which following the service, made their way to newly appointed High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire, Mrs N J Weston’s home for Luncheon.
The Cadets also directed the guests to where they were to sit and were assisted by CI Andrew Sherwin and Civ Com member Steve Rothwell. The Cadets thoroughly enjoyed being able to help and many of the guests commented on how smart, polite and helpful the Cadets were.
