Article posted: Jul 18, 2012 by Sqn Ldr Pass

On Saturday 30th and Sunday 1st July 2012, 1936 (Newton) Air Cadets along with Cadets from 2418 (Sherwood) Squadron partook in a Bronze Practice Expedition around their local area of the Vale of Belvoir. There were two groups present from both Squadrons along with supervisory staff.

The Expedition took the Cadets through the Nottinghamshire villages of Cropwell Bishop, Cropwell Butler, Cotgrave and Shelford, ending at 1936 (Newton) Squadron Headquarters. After a first day of walking through a mixture of weather, including rain and sunshine, Cadets arrived at their campsite: Thornton’s Holt.

Day two was a better day for weather and a shorter walk for the groups. Resulting with them completing their required hours with plenty of time for a debrief, before returning home for Sunday Dinner!
