Cadets and staff of 348 (Ilkeston) made their annual visit to the Moorgreen Country Show in Nottinghamshire over the August Bank Holiday

The cadets spent the weekend helping the organisers performing a variety of tasks including escorting VIP’s (no less than 4 Mayors!), manning the ATC PR marquee, raising £155 for the Help for Heroes charity, rebuilding the jumps that had been carelessly demolished by the horses and jockeys, making alterations to the main arena, and marshalling during the classic car and steam engine parades.

Also present during the weekend were the JC Balls Digger Dancing Display Team and the cadets soon adapted the companies “No Problem” motto, putting their talents to anything that the organisers gave them to do

The cadets were publically thanked by the organisers of the show and the Digger Display Team at the end of both days, saying “ if it wasnt for the fabulous work and enthusiam of the cadets, the whole show would not have run as efficiently as it has done”

planning has already started for next years event with staff being consulted from the outset about what the organisers would like for next year, and the answer form the staff??? “No Problem!”
