Northamptonshire Royal British Legion

Every year, the Royal British Legion (Northampton) hosts a Festival concert by the world famous Black Dyke Band. This concert has been a key element of the fund raising work by the legion for the Poppy Appeal in Northamptonshire for 30 years. Last year , the concert helped towards the £515,000.00 raised by the people of Northamptonshire for the Poppy Appeal.

Each year 5F(Northampton)Squadron support this event in various ways such as providing cadets to sell poppies and programmes or providing standard bearers to parade the squadron standard and one of the Royal British Legion standards.

This year, Cdt Cpl Matthew.Broadbent paraded the Squadron standard during the short service of remembrance that takes place half way through the concert.
