Nottinghamshire Royal British Legion parade & service of rededication

On Sunday Cadet Warrant Officer Damien Simpson attended the Nottinghamshire Royal British Legion Parade. This parade is held to commemorate the memory of the fallen and the future of the living.

The parade began at the Burgage War memorial where South and East Midlands Wing, Trent Wing and the Royal British Legion lay Wreaths and held a two minutes silence.

The parade then moved off from the war memorial marched down to Southwell Minster to start the service. After the service both South and East Midlands Wing and Trent Wing had an inspection by The Lord Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire Sir John Peace and RBL County President The Venerable (Air Vice-Marshal) Robin Turner CB DL RAF Retd.

Cadet Warrant Officer Simpson was acting as the Wing Banner Warrant in the parade.
