Pilot Officer Kahla makes the grade.
Pilot Officer Kahla has attended and passed his initial officers course at RAF Cranwell recently.
The course was the last section of a long journey towards gaining his commission in the Voluntary Reserve Training (VRT) branch of the Royal Air Force to be an officer in the Air Cadets.
The first stages consisted of a pre-uniform course, filter board, Wing board and an Officer and Air Crew Selection course for the ATC. The last stage was the week long course at RAF Cranwell which included lessons on Oral Communications, Leadership and Defence writing. The course had multiple assessments to be passed for each section along with drill practice sessions.
Plt Off Kahla “It has been a long process, but I’m very glad to have completed the various sections and attained my commission. I now want to use it to provide cadets with the same opportunities I had as a young cadet”
