Reaching for the skies

Cadet Sergeant Anna Page (17) and Cadet Corporal Aaron Cole (16), both from 1461 Sqn, Wigston Air Cadets, have recently been recruited to assist at a local RAF Airfield. The two budding aviators were selected to assist at 643 volunteer gliding school, RAF Syerston, after successfully completing gliding scholarships. The two are on hand to assist with the day to day flying at the Nottinghamshire Airfield and receive advanced glider training, including solo flights in return. The cadets said “we really enjoy being part of the gliding school and hope to pursue jobs in aviation”
