Road Marching Team Success at RAFWARMA

On 26th & 27th April the South and East Midlands Wing Road Marching Team completed the tough 2 Day Marches at RAF COSFORD in Shropshire. The RAF Walking And Road Marching Associations 2 day event totals a distance of 50 miles and is used as the British Military Contingents qualifying march for the International 4 Day Marches in Nijmegen, Holland in July.

The team consisting of Cadets and Staff from across the South & East Midlands have been training since the beginning of the year and have currently covered a distance of 225 training miles. The weather was ideal with temperatures reaching 16c, the whole team completed the march and are now looking forward to the 98th International Nijmegen Marches in July.

Flt Lt Mayoh-Smith, Commanding Officer at Glenfield this weekend completed his 500th WARMA mile and received his 10 year Gold WARMA Medal.
