Royal Visit

Cadet Flight Sergeant Dan Garlick recently met HRH The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall in their visit to Leicestershire.

The royal couple visited Long Clawson Dairy on Tuesday 25th January to celebrate 100 years of cheese making on their site, whilst on a tour of the East Midlands. As the Lord Lieutenants Cadet for Leicestershire, Flight Sergeant Garlick was invited to the celebration and salute the royals on arrival and departure.

After arrival the couple were shown to changing facilities to don protective clothing before being shown around the factory. The Prince of Wales later unveiled a commemorative plaque to celebrate the centenary, to a canteen full of current and past employees.

After the engagement the royals visited Ye Olde Pork Pie Shoppe in Melton Mowbray followed by a worship at Launde Abbey.
