A high flying Cadet of 2070 Glenfield Squadron has recently flown solo thanks to a Flying Scholarship. Sergeant Jack Webb-Macleod of Groby was awarded one of the Air Cadets National Flying Scholarships, awarded annually to only the most worthy of Cadets.

The highly sought after award has followed years of hard work and dedication, outstanding service and commitment. Jack received 12 hours flying tuition at Tayside Aviation in Dundee completing the course by flying a Solo flight of approximately 15 mins

Jack is a shining example of what can be gained from an active cadet career; he is a credit to the Squadron, Wing and Region.
