Cadets from the Squadron were recently successful in South and East Midlands Wing sporting events.
The Wing Football team included three Cadets and one staff member from 2070 (Glenfield) Squadron, Civilian Instructor Peacock, Cadet Sergeant Carroll, Cadet Moyes and Henson. Civilian Instructor Peacock was the Team Manager and Cadet Moyes was also the Captain of the Team. The team did excellent in the Central and Eastern Region inter Wing competition, winning enough games to come first. All three Cadets were subsequently selected to trial for the Regions team, to take part in future Corps Competitions.
The Wing Junior Girls Netball team trials also had a Squadron representation, Cadets Dhillon and Knight. The Girls Netball competition was equally prosperous as both Girls were then selected to join the Wing team and subsequently attended the training day at RAF Wittering. Cadet Parker attended the Boys Hockey Trials at RAF Wittering and was successful in being picked for the Wing Team, the trail consisted of a variety of skills exercises and culminated in a Hockey match.
All the Cadets were proud and excited at being picked to represent the Wing and look forward to the training days and also the opportunity to go to the Region trials and maybe, get picked for that team.
