Title: Sporting stars for 1360 Squadron!

Seven Cadets from 1360 (Stapleford and Sandiacre) Squadron once again shine in their chosen sports events by representing the Wing.

Corporal Shannon Conway (14) and Corporal Charlotte Lee (16) rose above the rest in making the cut for the South and East Midlands Wing hockey team, they had an early morning start at RAF Cranwell and spent the day competing against 6 other Wings in our region. Flight Sergeant Liam Osbiston (17), Corporal Stuart McPherson (16), Cadet Oliver Kirk (15)Cadet Joel Terry (16) and Cadet Elly Ongoma (15) showed amazing sporting talent when they were selected to represent South and East Midlands wing in Football, they too had a very early start followed by a long drive down to RAF Cranwell to spend the day competing in a football competition. By the end of the weekend our sporting stars were worn out, with a night’s rest they showed up to the squadron the next day with a smile on their faces.

Corporal Charlotte Lee said “I’m so happy that I got the opportunity to represent the wing in a sport I love, it was so fun to meet new friends across England and also to represent my squadron in doing so. I hope to get the chance to do this again next year.”

We congratulate all our sporting stars on their amazing efforts over the weekend. Well done!
