Fourteen Cadets from the 1211 (Swadlincote) Squadron ATC have raised significant funds for the Royal Air Force Association charity over the weekend thanks to the kind generosity of customers at Morrisons in Swadlincote. The Royal Air Force Association provides essential help, support and friendship to ex-serving and presently serving members of the Royal Air Force.
1211 Squadron Commander, Flight Lieutenant Alyn Thompson, explained: “This is the fourth fundraising venture our Squadron has fulfilled for various good causes within the last two months, and we have more planned for the near future; our Cadets are charity fundraising champions! After performing their fundraising duties this weekend our Cadets travelled to RAF Cranwell for their regular flying training.”
