Every annual dining in night is a special occasion but for 1181 (Syston) Squadron air cadets and staff, the evening was to be even more special thanks to the members of the Leicester Branch of the Royal Air Force Association (RAFA).
During the evening, Leicester Branch RAFA Chairman, Mr Barry Smart gave a speech to all of the guests at the formal dinner including Wing Commander Nigel Dickinson OBE RAFVR (T), Officer Commanding South and East Midlands Wing Air Training Corps and the Syston unit’s Wing Staff Officer, Squadron Leader Andy Pass RAFVR (T). In his speech, Mr Smart thanked the unit for their hard work over the year since they were adopted by the Leicester Branch RAFA.
