On Sunday (8 May) the cadets of 378 (Mannock) Squadron Air Training Corps were out in force to represent the unit at the South and East Midlands Wing annual Athletics Competition. The cadets competed with those from 28 other Squadrons in the area and the day was littered with successes.
Amongst the triumphs, Cadet Corporal Sean Lyddall, 16, forged ahead winning the youth section 100 metre sprint, with a new personal best time, and by taking gold in the youth long jump. Cadet Ben Littlewood, 14, was best in class with a win in the boys long jump. Both Sean and Ben have now been selected to represent the Wing for the forthcoming regional competition.
