This year marks the 100th Nijmegen Four Day March which is the world’s largest walking event which attracts over 45000 people from all over the world. It is taking place in July in Holland. South and East Midlands Air Training Corps Cadets – Road Marching Team has been participating over many years with an excellent success rate.

Having entered a competition earlier on the year whilst training to be sponsored by a joint venture with Magnum and Cadet Direct – Sqn Ldr Sarah Mayoh-Smith received a telephone call from James Munday, Managing Director at Cadet Direct saying he had some well deserved and fantastic news – “Your team has won.” Sqn Ldr Sarah Mayoh-Smith said “This is a great honour for the team, It will boost their morale and enhance the performance and uniformity and this year’s walking will be even better as they have been chosen by Magnum and Cadet Direct to be sponsored to each receive a pair of Magnum Classic MOD Brown Boots to walk in.” South and East Midlands Wing Air Training Corps Wing Commander Nigel Dickinson OBE said this is an excellent achievement by both the staff and cadets and we look forward to working with Magnum and Cadet Direct in the future with update reports and reviews of equipment.
