Article posted: Aug 11, 2015 by Sqn Ldr Rayson-Flynn

On 5th July, Cadet Sergeant Nicole Walker started her training for the St John Ambulance Activity First Aid course, for the green badge! The course consisted of 16 hours of training and a final test to make sure Sergeant Walker was capable of dealing with a casualty in different situations.

Sergeant Walker said “I’m so glad I went on the first aid course as I love to do first aid and I’m hoping to become a paramedic in the future. With the skills I now have makes me more confident if anything was to ever happen in the future.”

Sergeant Walker now also has the chance to teach Heartstart at the Squadron and she further commented “I am looking forward to teaching the cadets some of the skills I know have, to make them aware of the importance of knowing these basic skills!”
