Newton – Torrential wind and rain does not deter us!

Despite gusty high winds and torrential rain, Cadets from 1936 (Newton) Sqn were determined to turn up and help at Bingham Town Council Summer Fair on 23rd June with several Cadets undertaking Marshalling and Car Parking duties in the town centre.

Cdts Alice Martin and Kate Shipley volunteered to help on the Crafts Stall in the marquee and Cdt Connor Levers manned the Gladiator Game for the Council raising the sum of £118 for their funds.

Staff, Civilian Committee and remaining Cadets kept busy in the Squadron gazebo selling raffle tickets, recruiting new Cadets and keeping the gazebo on the ground.

Bingham Fair is always a success for 1936 – the Town Council are always very grateful for the Squadron’s help, new friends are made and we also gain a few recruits.
