Cadets from 2425 (Nottingham Airport) Squadron Air Training Corps paid a surprise visit to the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance at RAF Waddington Air Show last weekend to present a cheque.
The squadron, based at Nottingham Airport, Tollerton, Notts, raised Almost £1300 for the Air Ambulance during 2008.
The cadets thought it would be a nice gesture to present the cheque at this years air show after first meeting the crew at last year’s show and being shown around the helicopter.

Roger Linnel from the Air Ambulance said “We are extremely grateful to the squadron for this amazing donation and the cadets should be proud to know that they are helping save lives”.
The squadron’s Commanding Officer, Flt Lt Robert Frost RAF VR (T) said “I am very proud of the cadets who chose the Air Ambulance themselves as their chosen charity for 2008 and worked hard throughout the year to raise this significant sum of money”.
This year the cadets have chosen “When You Wish Upon a Star”, the charity that makes dreams come true for sick children, as their charity for 2009.
