West Bridgford Cadet on Initial NCO Course

A busy weekend saw the attendance of another 209 (West Bridgford) Royal Air Force Air Cadet at a South sand East Midlands Wing run Course.

The Initial NCO Course provides an overview of the roles, responsibilities and standards expected of a Junior NCO within the Royal Air Force Air Cadets.

Corporal Kiernan Walker arrived on Friday at RAF Wittering for a weekend of mixed lessons covering many subject areas including:
Role of a Junior NCO
Dress Regulations
Discipline
Maintenance of Uniform
Drill
Leadership / Leadership Theory
Group Discussions / Scenarios
Presentation Techniques
Lesson Planning
Presentation Skills

Cadet Corporal Kiernan Walker now waits eagerly for his results after a very informative weekend. “It very enjoyable weekend, but very tiring. It was nice to see friends from other squadrons, and make some new ones. Altogether an eye-opening weekend.”
