Wigston cadets are handy in an emergency

Cadets from 1461 Wigston Squadron have been learning what to do in a medical emergency. 12 Cadets have undertaken the British Heart Foundation’s “Heartstart UK” training and have leant how to help people suffering from a heart attack, serious bleeding and choking. The cadets also learnt Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation and are now prepared to come to the aid of someone suffering from cardiac arrest.
This is the first course in a programme of first aid training for all levels available to the cadets and staff.
