Wigston on winning form

The cadets from 1461 Wigston Sqn have walked away with silverware at the South and East Midlands Wing annual athletic meet on Sunday. The team, split into age groups were able to put their practice and team spirit together to produce a winning performance in the junior boys class. Competing against 28 other squadrons from across the Wing the cadets put their track and field skills to the test, and each put in 100% effort. Cdt Lukasz Swiatkiewicz had an eventfully day with a number of first and second places and was awarded the trophy for most individual points by a male competitor.
CI Rosie Glenister, 1461’s sports officer said “I am really proud of the team and what they have all achieved today, well done all!”
